Shri Atul Srivastava

Nominee Director of State Bank of India

Shri Atul Srivastava is a career banker who began his journey with the State Bank of India (SBI) in 1997 as a Probationary Officer. He is presently designated as Chief General Manager, Associates & Subsidiaries Department (A&S), where he oversees 18 domestic subsidiaries and 9 SBI-sponsored Regional Rural Banks.

Prior to this role, he served as General Manager and Secretary to the Central Board of SBI, as well as Executive Secretary to the Managing Director at SBI Corporate Centre, Mumbai.

With nearly three decades of service at the State Bank of India—India’s oldest and largest banking group—Shri Srivastava has held several strategic leadership positions throughout his distinguished career.

Over the course of his extensive banking career, he has gained wide-ranging experience across diverse functions, including Credit, Foreign Exchange, General Banking Operations, and Human Resources.

Earlier, he served as Deputy General Manager (HR) in the International Banking Group. He has also held other key leadership roles at SBI, including Deputy General Manager, Module Head, and Regional Head.

Academically, Shri Srivastava holds a postgraduate degree (M.A.) in Physics and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (IIBF). He also holds AMFI and SP certifications from NISM and is a certified professional in IT & Cyber Security (Ernst & Young LLP). Additionally, he has earned a Certificate in Commercial Credit from Moody’s and a Certificate in Compliance Programme.
